NBS facilities

rockfm-studioStudents at the National Broadcasting School use some of the most up to date facilities in the radio industry.

Students have access to broadcast studios at Rock FM, which have digital desks and Dalet playout systems and are set up to allow for a range of programme styles, from self-op bulletins to interviews and multi-presenter shows.

In addition, there are telephone balance units for ‘phone interviews and high-quality ISDN lines.

Students also use their mobile phones to record and report live back to the studio.

In the NBS training room, each student has access to a workstation with Adobe Audition digital recording and editing software, Microsoft Office and internet access.

Each student is provided with a flash drive portable recorder which they use throughout the course to record vox pops, interviews and for collecting material for their features and documentaries.
