IMG_2803

In 15 intensive and practical weeks you will learn all the skills you need to start your career as a radio journalist. From day one you’ll be mentored by John Pickford, Editor-in-Chief, Bauer Radio News, and other senior Bauer journalists. You will also contribute to the output of some of the UK’s most successful radio stations. As well as being based at Key 103 in Manchester you will also spend time at Radio City in Liverpool. You will also visit BBC Radio 5 Live.

There are daily lectures on a variety of subjects, with a focus on law. However, the main emphasis is on the broadcast skills required to make you fit for purpose as a professional radio journalist.

The course is designed to get you a job. In fact, on the last course 60% of students got paid work as radio journalists within a month of the course ending! Not only that, you’ll also receive a Bauer Diploma in Radio Journalism accredited by the BJTC, your professional ticket to a future career.
Bursaries and Scholarships are available to the right students, however, as you can imagine, places are limited on this course.
