MCPS-PRS Alliance name change

Monday, January 26th, 2009

Those two erstwhile music copyright bodies, MCPS and PRS, got together to form the MCPS-PRS Alliance. It wasn’t a name that tripped easily off the tongue. But a re-branding exercise has come up with something much better: – PRS for Music.
Not just a re-branding but also a bold move to halve the cost of buying a licence to play the radio at work. Places with four or fewer workers can now buy a music licence for £44 per year plus vat. PRS for Music says its wants to provide better access for good music, whilst making sure its creators get paid.

More on the PRS for Music website.
